The City of Agoura Hills is now accepting applications for sponsors, volunteers and parade entrants to be part of the 12th Annual Reyes Adobe Days (RAD), coming this fall October 6-9, 2016. Sponsor and volunteer support helps provide the free cultural activities and entertainment enjoyed by over 15,000 attendees from around the region during the four-day festival.

“These partnerships are a major part of bringing the variety of fun and free cultural experiences to the community,” said Agoura Hills Recreation Supervisor Nick Newkirk. Agoura Dental Group is the title sponsor for this year’s event.

The city offers sponsorship levels for any size business or organization to receive recognition for their support. Signage, promotions and advertising displayed throughout the region as well as at festival events are among the sponsor benefits. Sponsors also enjoy VIP invitations to RAD signature events.

The City of Agoura Hills invites organizations, groups, businesses and individuals to participate in the Reyes Adobe Days parade on Saturday, October 8, which kicks off the Reyes Adobe Days weekend festival. Entries may be floats, classic cars or entertainment acts. Classic cars and convertibles are also needed to transport celebrities or dignitaries. The approximate mile-long procession begins at 10 a.m., starting at Yerba Buena School (6900 block of Reyes Adobe Road) and leads to the Reyes Adobe Historical Site for Day at the Adobe for the free weekend festival of cultural entertainment.

Applications for becoming a sponsor or parade participant are online at www.reyesadobedays.org or can be picked up at the City of Agoura Hills Recreation Center, 29900 Ladyface Court., Agoura Hills, CA 91301.

Volunteers are also a key component to RAD’s success to help plan and produce the four-day festival. Service organizations, church groups, youth groups, teens, and individuals are needed to help with cultural entertainment, music, historical demonstrations, activities and recreation for all ages. Volunteers receive recognition and community service credits for their participation. Sign ups for preferred assignments and times are on a first come basis by signing up at reyesadobedays.org/volunteers. Volunteer projects begin September 10 preparing the many festival activities.
