The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley held a successful Golf Tournament recently at the North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village. The event drew some 170 players and the money raised will help fund programs at the clubs within the Boys & Girls Clubs organization.

This year’s tournament included a new partner for the Boys & Girls Clubs, the PGA TOUR Champions – PowerShares QQQ Championship, whose tournament will be held October 24-30 at Sherwood Country Club. The Lexus Champions for Charity and Lexus of Thousand Oaks contributed major prizes including two playing spots in their upcoming tournament at Pebble Beach and three cars up for grabs on the golf course.

“We had such an outpouring of support from our players, sponsors, donors, volunteers and staff to pull off such a successful event,” said Becky Fleishman, director of development for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley. “Plus, having Kira Kazantsev, Miss America 2015, was a wonderful addition serving as our MC for the evening and meeting and greeting all of our players during the day.”

The 7th Annual Golf Classic included giveaways, exciting contests, great food and lots of fun for the participants. The proceeds will help provide quality before and after school programs and enrichment in education, the arts, health, sports, technology and leadership.
