Sara Jean Ford originated the role of Luisa when The Fantasticks—the world’s longest running musical—was revived in New York in 2006. The Newbury Park native will be the special audience guest at the Saturday, September 20 performance of Panic! Productions’ current staging of the show at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts in Thousand Oaks.
Now performing on Broadway as Christine Daaé in “The Phantom of the Opera,” Ford has also played Smitty in “How to Success in Business without Really Trying,” and had roles in “A Little Night Music,” “Finian’s Rainbow” and “Arlene.” Ford has returned to Thousand Oaks to conduct a 3-day workshop/master class – “Acting a Song” – at the Hillcrest Center, September 19 – 21.
The Fantasticks plays Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m. through September 21.
