The Foundation for Las Virgenes Schools is once again hosting their Back to School Carnival next month in Agoura Hills, bringing three days of family fun and entertainment to the community. The event will take place at Whizin Market Square (28914 Roadside Drive) September 9-11.

Admission to the event is free and proceeds will benefit the local schools. “Over the past five years, [The Foundation] has supported the Las Virgenes Unified School District by raising over a million dollars in privately donated funds to hire classroom teachers, reduce classroom sizes and expand counseling programs,” Glassberg said.

According to its mission statement, The Foundation’s goal is to help ensure that every child, in every school in our community, has the opportunities and resources to succeed and reach their full potential. “We are committed to supporting our school district with the resources necessary to ensure long term success for our students and our community,” said Glassberg.

Glassberg promises that the carnival will offer fun for the entire family. “There will be rides for all ages including a ferris wheel, fun house, gigantic slide and much more,” she said. There will also be a variety of games and prizes as well as gourmet food trucks serving delicious food all weekend.

The hours of operation are Friday 6-11 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 12-11 p.m. Buy early and save. The pre-sale price for One-Day Wristbandsgood for unlimited rides on Saturday or Sunday from 12-6 p.m., is $30 (save $5) and the pre-sale price for 20 Ride Tickets is $15 (save $5). Pre-sale ticket deals are available at TheFoundationLVS.org.

“We believe that at the base of a strong community is a strong school district,” said Glassberg. “Many people moved to this area for the quality schools and we believe they will come out to support them.”
