35th Annual Wings Over Camarillo Airshow
August 22, 2015 @ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
The Camarillo Wings Association will host this year’s “Wings Over Camarillo” Air Show with support from volunteers from the Southern California Wing of the Commemorative Air Force, EAA Chapter 723 and the Ventura County 99s. This year’s event is planned for August 22-23, 2015 at the Camarillo Airport. Noon to 4:30 pm. Gates open at 9am.
Chuck Aaron of Westlake Village, one of the few pilots in the world to fly the Red Bull Helicopter upside down, will be joined by national air racing veteran and aerobatic pilot Vicky Benzing and about 60 other experienced pilots to thrill the crowds at this year’s event!
An expanded Air Show flight demonstration features many popular aerobatic routines, including vintage planes, experimental and WWII fighter, bombers and transports.
The air show features public access to the planes, pilots, and crews. Come for the day to watch and walk among the planes; take photos and ask questions of the pilots and air show volunteers.
Be part of the classics of aviation! See restored aircraft from the 1940’s, 1950’s and 1960’s flying while you can. You may not get another chance! These airplanes are what inspired young people decades ago to get into aviation and aerospace in Southern California. What you’ll see at our air show contributed to the evolution of propeller aviation into the jet age.
Kids under 12 are FREE! Kids, Bring your parents! Gates open at 9 a.m. both days. Air show takes place 12-4:30 p.m. each day. Admission $15. Visit www.wingsovercamarillo.com for more information.
