Bark for Life in Westlake Village

Dog lovers will take out their to honor cancer survivors, pay tribute to loved ones lost and remember those who are still fighting. The American Cancer Society’s Bark For Life event is a one-mile noncompetitive walk for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.
WHO: Dogs large and small, from Great Dane guard dogs to little Chihuahuas lap dogs, dog owners, volunteers, families, individuals, teams, and the American Cancer Society.
WHAT: The American Cancer Society’s Bark For Life is a noncompetitive walk for dogs and their owners to raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer. Even though walking might be your canine companion’s favorite thing to do, Bark For Life participants will also enjoy contests, games and demonstrations.
Canine Grand Marshal and two time cancer survivor and very colorful poodle Fire will be kicking off the opening ceremonies. Cancer Survivors will lead the walk as we celebrate their victory and remember loved ones as we walk through the park.
After the walk Bark Avenue to visit vendor and sponsor booths as you play Bark Bingo, K9 Club will host games and contests (Best Halloween Costume), stop by the Silent Auction and Raffle booth. Oak Park Veterinary Hospital and vet of the day Dr. Gena Broussard-Cole will be on hand to answer questions or if there is a Canine Emergency during the event.

WHEN: Sunday November 1, 2015 Registration 10:30am, Opening Ceremonies 11am
REGISTRATION: $20 for 1 Dog, $25 for 2 Dogs every registered dog receives a Bark Bandana, Dog Tag and Swag Bag. The goal is to have each dog fundraise $100.
