Free Group Exercise Classes at Local YMCAs in September

Adults and teens can take part in free group exercise classes at three local YMCAs: Conejo Valley YMCA, Miller Family YMCA of Newbury Park and the Simi Valley Family YMCA, September 14 through 19.

The “Get Back to Class” exercises are designed to motivate people to begin their journey to a healthier lifestyle. Group classes include a boot camp workout, Zumba, TRX, water fitness, circuit/HIIT, yoga/Pilates, cycling, joint mobility, BarWorks, core fusion, tai chi and aqua Pilates. “Everyone has their own workout style,” said James Foster, membership director at the Conejo Valley YMCA. “That’s why we are offering all types of classes so there is a workout or two for all.”

Participants will need to provide a photo I.D. and sign a guest waiver to have access to both studio and aquatic classes. Each Y will offer different classes with different schedules. For a list of classes and times, go to YMCA branch websites and click on the popup.
