National Park Service Hosts ‘Spring Migration Through the Lens’ in Calabasas

May 2, 2015 @ 8:30 am - 10:00 am

The National Park Service will join in celebrating Bird LA Day on Saturday, May 2, by sponsoring “Spring Migration Through the Lens,” a shutterbug feast for bird watchers during the year’s first mass migration of dozens of species of birds on the wing.

Rangers will be on hand at the Santa Monica Mountains Interagency Visitor Center located at King Gillette Ranch, from 8:30-10 a.m., giving tips on how to camera-capture the excitement of many birds that will pass through the area.

Visitors will meet next to the center’s fountain at 26876 Mulholland Hwy. The event is free. Learn more about events in the region at www.birdladay
