April 26, 2016 @ 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Senior Concerns, as part of its commitment to provide support for family caregivers of aging loved ones, will present a community seminar on “Navigating the Medical Arena – What You Need to Know Now,” on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, 5:30-7 p.m. at Senior Concerns, 401 Hodencamp Road, Thousand Oaks.
This seminar will be presented by Betty Berry and Charna Posin, Senior Advocates with Senior Concerns’ Senior Advocacy Program.
During the seminar, you’ll learn how to prepare for doctor visits and hospital stays, including learning how to clearly describe your concerns to the doctor, what insurance will really cover and what triggers to avoid, and how to make the best choices for you and your loved one. In addition, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of post-hospital rehabilitation and home health care.
