Spokes in The Oaks Open Street Festival

This Halloween, don’t miss the first “Open Streets” party in Thousand Oaks!  Enjoy a unique outdoor festival of music, food, activities and pollution-free fun.  From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. portions of Townsgate, Hampshire and Agoura Roads will be closed to all cars – and open to bikes, strollers, skates, scooters, walking shoes and more. Spend this special day with your family and the Thousand Oaks community.

Just the facts

  • Saturday, October 31, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • All invited, except for cars!
  • Day begins at 10 a.m. on the corner of Townsgate and Triunfo Canyon Road with a route opening by Mayor Adam. First 1000 guests to the event will receive a complimentary water bottle from the City!
  • Trick-or-Treating all day at participating businesses in the Westlake Plaza, 10a-3pm – look for the balloons to get your candy!
  • Kids, wanna wear a costume while riding your bike? Sure! We will have a costume contest on the Kids Stage at 11:30a.

Main Stage

10 a.m. – 12 p.m.    Local Performers
12:15-1:15 p.m.       American Idol’s Brooke White
1:30-2:45 pm          Grammy Nominated Musician, Lisa Loeb

The Main Stage will be welcoming Grammy-nominated musician Lisa Loeb.  Lisa launched her career in 1994 with the song “Stay (I Missed You)”, which was included in the film “Reality Bites”. Also performing will be local resident Brooke White. Brooke is an indie pop/folk-pop singer-songwriter and actress who was the fifth place finalist on the seventh season of American Idol.

Next to the Main Stage will be the Peddler’s Village. This area will be dedicated to Food Vendors, City Service Exhibits, Partner booths and demonstrations.

Kid’s Stage
Families will want to also visit the Kids Stage where adored performer Twinkle Time will be headlining the stage!  There will also be performances by the Cabrillo Kids, storytime presented by the Grant Brimhall Library, a children’s Bike Rodeo and a kids costume contest.
