Dramatic readings of Edgar Allan Poe’s works and other surprises at a free event!

Spotlight The Arts Foundation presents dramatic readings of Edgar Allan Poe’s works and other surprises at a free event on Sunday, October 23, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

A week before Halloween, author, actor, poet, director, and playwright Peter Hayes Brothers directs performances to captivate you by talented thespians of the most macabre literary imaginings penned by Poe. Brothers, along with Andrea Diamond, Ken Jones and Dr. Bradley Bobbs portraying Poe himself will enthrall audiences with works, including ”The Tell-Tale Heart” and “The Raven.”

Fitting the season, Brothers will turn his bookshop audience into accomplices for eerie tales of intrigue, betrayal and supernatural specters. Bring your friends to witness the resurrection of shadowed gothic literature for only as long as the pendulum swings.

Don’t miss out on prizes, dressing up in your Halloween costume, spooky readings and special guest, Calabasas Mayor James Bozajian, who will give intriguing historical information on Edgar Allen Poe.

Special Activities Include:

6:30-7 p.m.—Costume contest and other (secret) magical happenings!

7-8:30 p.m.—Historical background on Poe by Calabasas Mayor James Bozajian and readings of the works of Edgar Allan Poe

This special complimentary one-night only event takes place here:
