‘Into the Woods,’ ‘Young Frankenstein’ to Debut at the Performing Arts Education Centers

The Performing Arts Education Centers of Agoura Hills and Calabasas are chocked full of entertainment this month. Here’s what’s happening:

Agoura High presents INTO THE WOODS –  (April 8-12) Into the Woods is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales in a musical format that follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel-all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife, their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the witch who has put a curse on them. Music and lyrics are by Stephen Sondheim. The book is by James Lapine. Click here to buy tickets.

Calabasas High presents YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN –  (April 8-12) From the creators of the record-breaking Broadway sensation The Producers comes this monster new musical comedy. With such memorable tunes as “The Transylvania Mania,” “He Vas My Boyfriend” and “Puttin’ On The Ritz,” Young Frankenstein is scientifically-proven, monstrously good entertainment…and the only place you’ll witness a singing and dancing laboratory experiment in the largest tuxedo ever made.
