Magical History Tour: My, How We’ve Grown

Conejo Valley

(Las Virgenes Historical Society collection, Agoura Hills Public Library)

Welcome to CVH’s Magical History Tour. Each week, we will offer a fascinating look back at our past and explore the history and development of the Conejo Valley.

This panoramic image was shot in 1960 by local photographer Ed Lawrence. The view is looking east from Westlake Village to Westlake Blvd. and Triumfo. Agoura’s Ladyface Mountain is visible in the upper right. Note that most of the region is underdeveloped farm and ranch land.
