Who Will Be the Next Mystery Band to Be Discovered at the 31st Annual California Strawberry Festival?

JohnPhotography_1507Calling all music groups looking to hit the big stage! Enter the Berry Battle of the Bands Contest and you could be the next headline performer at this year’s 31st Annual California Strawberry Festival celebration the weekend of May 17. All musical genres accepted.

Three top finalists will be selected to perform for the Berry Battle of the Bands presented by The Collection at RiverPark and Cumulus Media, Sunday, April 27 at the outdoor stage at The Collection at RiverPark in Oxnard.

The entire outdoor stage area at The Collection at RiverPark will be buzzing with free festivities from 1-3 p.m. as band members vie for the winning opportunity to perform center stage. Your favorite B95.1 deejays Scott Alexander and Angie Handa will serve as emcees, joining the B95.1 street team giving away prizes and rallying support from the crowd. Come hungry and join in the pie eating contest fun and more, all offered as a delicious “taste” of the good times ahead at the Festival, now ranked among the top celebrations in the nation.

“Last year’s Berry Battle of the Bands was so popular we can’t wait to enjoy the talents of this season’s entries,” said Mike Pynn, general manager of The Collection at RiverPark. “We’re proud to partner with the California Strawberry Festival and to support their mission of giving back to the local community.”
