By Helen Hartel
Marine is a three-year-old male Pit Bull that was brought to the shelter without explanation. His family had owned him for only two months. This has surprised the shelter volunteers and staff, because he is a very easy-going guy.
He is a people-loving pooch that needs to be integrated into the house with his family. Everyone that knows him is looking forward to the day his forever family comes in to take him home for the holidays.
Here are some things you should know about him:
- He loves being with people.
- He gets along with dogs, kids and cats, too.
- He is housebroken.
- He loves the car.
- He is very smart and has already learned how to sit and wait without jumping before leaving his kennel.
- He is treat motivated.
- He does need some leash training because he is very strong.
If you are looking to experience the love and loyalty that “Pitties” are known for, then Marine is the guy for you. If you plan to leave him alone or toss him in the backyard, then he is not a suitable match.
