Royce is a ten month old Pit Bull that is beautiful both inside and out. Sadly, his owner turned him in when their landlord said the dog was no longer allowed to live in the dwelling, even though Royce’s behavior was exemplary. Though an unfortunate situation, his owner did the right thing by bringing him to the shelter. Now he is waiting for his forever family to choose him and bring him into their home.
Here are some things you should know about him:
- He was raised in an apartment and is housebroken.
- He is good with other dogs.
- He walks well on leash.
- He loves car rides.
- He loves to play with toys in the yard — throwing them in the air and catching them.
- He has had some basic training.
Royce has been to the private vet for extensive allergy testing to see why his paws sometimes turn red. He has grass allergies and is receiving shots every week that will hopefully desensitize him. So if you don’t have a yard, that’s fine. Remember, Royce has spent most of his life living in an apartment and like most “Pitties,” he loves being around people and is one playful, happy and friendly boy.
If you are looking for a cuddly guy to show you the loyalty that “Pitties” are known for and you can give him the training a puppy needs, ask to meet him. This volunteer favorite will not disappoint.
