Domino is a 4-year-old male pit bull mix that was running loose on the streets when he was picked up and brought to the Agoura shelter. No one claimed him and after his hold time passed, he became available for adoption. One thing that is for certain is that his time on the streets did not change his affectionate nature toward humans. He seems to love being with people and all he needs now is to find someone who will take him home and make him an integrated member of the family.
Here are some things you should know about him:
- He is one terrific and engaging boy.
- He is playful.
- He is young and full of positive energy.
- He walks well on leash.
- He likes to be by a human’s side.
Domino is a fabulous dog, but had one setback that accounts for his longer than usual stay at the shelter. An ill dog was brought in and, unfortunately, Domino caught what that pup had. Domino had to be isolated for an extended period of time and it was very hard on him. All he wanted was to receive and give affection. Recently the shelter’s veterinarian gave him a clean bill of health and he is enjoying his freedom immensely. The volunteers love the opportunity to take him out for walks and to play with him in the yard. Throughout his ordeal, Domino never lost his zeal! He is so ready to be adopted and the family that chooses him will be lucky to have him as their forever pet.
To adopt Domino, request A4892386. The Agoura Shelter is at 29525 Agoura Road, Agoura Hills. Occasionally pets have already been adopted. To check availability, call 818-991-0071 or visit animalcare.lacounty.gov.
