(The following is an update from a previous story we posted about Dante)
For an inexplicable reason he has been at the shelter longer than any other dog. He may not be right for every family, but for someone that wants a dog companion with high spirits, he is a good choice. He has a great personality and is a favorite among the shelter volunteers.
Here are some things you should know about him:
- He loves toys and will play with them on his own.
- He loves fetch and will play until you are ready to quit the game.
- He gives cute play bows to other dogs and engages them in great romps in the play yard.
- He walks great on leash.
- He knows “sit” and “drop it”.
- He is gentle when taking treats.
- He is a playful goofball that loves, loves, loves to play.
Watch Dante on YouTube to see him in action:
Dante is a youngster and needs a family who will continue to train him. With all his boundless energy, he can become jumpy when he plays. He needs someone to teach him to be obedient when it’s the right time. He can only learn what he is taught. And since he already knows many commands, he can learn everything you are willing to show him.
If you are willing to make him a true member of your family, let him live indoors with you and continue his training, he is ready to show you the loyalty “Pitties” are known for.
Ask to meet him today and you can spend the rest of your lives just having a blast together each and every day!
