To meet Baby, request ID# A4560050,

Baby, a female Shih Tzu that’s approximately nine years old, was brought to the Agoura Shelter because her owner is no longer able to care for her. This sweet girl was adopted by her family from another shelter eight years ago, and they just want her to have the love and care they can no longer provide.

Baby is spayed and up-to-date with all her shots. Though she is not entirely housebroken, she knows to use a piddle pad, is very experienced with a doggy door and will let herself out. She would do best in a safe, fenced-in back yard to roam in, but is really an indoor dog who loves to sleep on the family bed.
Baby doesn’t do well when left alone for long periods of time. She really likes being with people and would do well in a household with people around most of the time. She’s known to defend her family and home rather aggressively and will bark and go after “trespassers.” She will run out the door to chase them, but since she is missing many of her teeth, she is not really a bite risk. At the shelter, she has always behaved appropriately with humans and other dogs as they pass by.

Baby would be perfectly happy as the only dog in a preferably single level home, getting soft food and, of course, as a member of a loving family.
