Addie is a Boxer mix that is approximately 12-years-old. Nothing is known about her past because she was living alone on the streets before she was picked up and brought to the Agoura Animal Shelter. The stray life seems to have left her unaffected because she keeps her tail wagging and her easy-going demeanor is intact. To maintain her happiness, all that is needed is for her forever family to come along and adopt her.
Here are some things you should know about her:
- She is a sweet girl.
- She thrives on attention and affection.
- She gets around pretty darn well.
- When she goes to a play yard she follows the volunteers around and stays super close.
- She enjoys going for walks.
- She is very quiet and rarely barks or makes a peep.
Worried about adopting an older dog? Don’t! A private veterinarian saw her on June 24 and, all in all, her blood work looks very normal. The only thing that was a little concerning was a slightly elevated lipase level but no signs of pancreatitis has been observed. She has been treated for a skin infection but her course of medication is nearly completed. She is doing well for a dog of her age.
Addie is a slow walker, so someone that likes to take leisurely, short strolls would be a good match for her. Could that be you? She will bring joy and companionship to you every day you spend together.
To adopt Addie request A4844017. The Agoura Shelter is at 29525 Agoura Road, Agoura Hills. Occasionally pets have already been adopted. To check availability, call 818-991-0071 or visit animalcare.lacounty.gov.
