Remy is a 4-year-old female Australian Cattle Dog mix. Sadly, she was brought to the shelter because she did not get along with the other dog in the home. It would be best if she was adopted as the only dog in the household, but she seems to do well with other types of animals.
Here are some things you should know about her:
- She is a calm and playful pup.
- She is housebroken.
- She gets along with kids.
- She walks great on leash.
- Her previous owner reported that gets along with cats.
- She is very tentative when meeting new people.
The Australian Cattle Dog part of her mix appears to love to have a job to do and to be kept busy. Why? Because that’s the hardworking, herding side of her mix. So, while she is calm and playful, she is not one to just lie around the living room all day or stay happily in the backyard with only a 15-minute walk. She needs much more exercise than that and something to occupy her mind and instincts daily.
Summer is a great time for getting to know a new pet, especially one that enjoys outdoor activities. Why not choose Remy? Ask to meet her and interact with her in one of the shelter’s play yards.
To adopt Remy, request A4705337. The Agoura Shelter is at 29525 Agoura Road, Agoura Hills. Occasionally pets have already been adopted. To check availability, call 818-991-0071 or visit http://animalcare.lacounty.gov
