Kids have fun during the Fall Sports Leagues with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley

Registration is now underway for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley’s Fall Co-Ed Jr. NBA Basketball League in Thousand Oaks and Sunday Soccer League in Agoura Hills.

The Jr. NBA Basketball League is open to ages 3-12. The eight-week session starts Sunday, October 2 and runs through Sunday, November 20. The League takes place at the Los Cerritos Middle School Gym, 2100 E. Avenida de las Flores in Thousand Oaks.

The Sunday Soccer League is open to ages 3-12 and runs for eight weeks also starting Sunday, October 2, running through Sunday, November 20. All practices and games take place at the Sumac Elementary School (field), 6050 N. Calmfield Avenue, Agoura Hills.

Fees for each League is $120 per child, which includes a uniform, trophy, plus individual & team pictures. The Leagues are designed to teach kids the basic rules of the game and the value of teamwork. Evaluation Day for both leagues is Sunday, September 25. The Boys & Girls Clubs welcome volunteer coaches, referees and team parents.

Participation is encouraged, as studies show the benefits of sports and physical activity for children include reduced risk of obesity, increased cardiovascular fitness, improved coordination and balance, better sleep and improved social skills.
