This week we can stop beating up Mercury for being retrograde and all the inconveniences it caused. On Wednesday the 21st at 10:31 p.m. PST, Mercury turns direct motion. Did you set your clocks? Remember there is a bit of a shadow period, so give the dust a chance to settle before to you set in motion all those things you put on hold. In case you are wondering, the next Mercury Retrograde is December 19th, just in time for the holidays.
Almost in sync with Mercury going direct, the Sun leaves Mercury ruled Virgo and moves into Venus ruled Libra on the 22nd at 7:09 a.m. PST where it will be until October 22.
Libra rules relationships with others as mirrors of ourselves. Meeting others halfway, compromise and negotiation come under the rule of Libra. The focus is now on finding balance and harmony through art and relationships with others. Libra is the sign of the peacemaker. However, life is not always peaceful with Libra in its attempt to restore balance. They have a tendency to set their scales of justice swinging, causing over compensation.
Decision-making can definitely be more challenging while the Sun is in Libra. Libra weighs both sides of any situation and sometimes this process seems endless! For years I have said, “Never take a Libra to Baskin-Robbins; too many choices.”
In Libra, the Sun is concerned about not rocking the boat and not rubbing others the wrong way. Tactfulness, style, tolerance and sociability are some of the keywords for Libra. Librans really believe in the win-win situation and to their own detriment compromise their own gains by asking, “how can we benefit?” On the other side, Libra can be self-serving, indecisive, passive-aggressive and superficial. Librans like to look good and don’t show when they are down to their last dime. Sometimes the hardest thing for a Libran to do is ask for help.
While the Sun is in Libra, let’s work on cooperation and lighten up. Be flirty and playful.
Got it? Now go play.
