It’s hard to believe but the kids will be getting out of school soon and looking for something fun to do for the summer. Yes, it’s time to start thinking about summer camps!

Come join Camp Agoura Hills at our AMAZING new location, with views of the Conejo Valley, a brand new interpretive playground and all new facilities!  Camps for kids of all ages await your children, including Tiny Tot Camp (ages 3-5), Rec Club and Rec Club on the Go (ages 5-11) and over 15 Specialty Camps, including LEGO Science, Digital Animation, and Theater programs. Our Teen program, The Garage, also opens to older teens this summer.

SunplusDescription: Kids, ages 4-6, will do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities at summer sports camp. The general camp, ages 7-12, will choose a primary sport, either golf or tennis which will be the morning focuses. In the afternoon, the general campers can choose from golf, tennis, soccer, swimming and a variety of other activities. Lunch is included for all ages.

SUMMER DAY CAMPS, CONEJO RECREATION & PARK DISTRICT, Thousand Oaks

The Conejo Recreation & Park District is offering five different summer day camp options for kids ages 4-12 this summer. Starting as low as $110 per week, activities include range weekly themes, hiking, arts & crafts, archery, swimming, games, songs, sports, overnight camping and more.

Little Learners Camp, Ages 4-6: We have over nine weeks of activities, sports, cooking, science and much more to match all of our thematic weeks. We have a half and full day option to include a choice of swimming and field trips.

Camp Calabasas, Age 5-10: In this program campers participate in a variety of fun activities, including arts and crafts, sports, swimming, weekly field trips, on site special events and much more! We have a Hot Lunch option and all campers have the opportunity to participate in cooking and science activities a few times a week.

Teen Camp is for 5th grade and above. There are daily field trips for this fun-filled camp! Please visit our website for a full schedule of our summer field trips, costs and for a registration packet.

SUMMER ART CAMP @ ART TREK, Newbury Park

CVHappenings_Art Trek Summer AdOur six-week hands-on creative arts camp begins June 15th and ends on July 24th! Our camps are designed to bring both information and exploration to your youth and teen emerging artists. We have expanded our summer art camp to meet a wide range of interests, ages, and schedules. You can mix and match the days and times you want to attend! Our morning sessions are directed in painting, sculpting, construction, sewing, collage, mosaic and much more! Our afternoon sessions have a lighter component of instruction and more time for creative exploration with loads of materials. Our professional staff will be guiding the campers through expression, experimentation and exploration!

KINGSMEN SHAKESPEARE SUMMER YOUTH CAMPSThousand Oaks

KSC_PuppetsAttention aspiring actors, our Summer Theatre camps begin June 15! We offer two full day and three half day specialty theatre camps for ages 8-16. Camps include Beginning Shakespeare, a beginning acting course and its application to Shakespeare. Advanced Shakespeare offers stage combat and acting techniques. Musical Theatre explores the study of acting, voice and dance as it applies to musical theatre. Each session culminates in a production for family and friends.  

New this year, Puppet Camp. This is a first of its kind, hands on, creative, fun and exciting camp where campers make their very own marionette and “train it” in a series of Shakespeare scenes and monologues. Campers keep their special, one of a kind marionette! Our professional staff is made up of teachers, actors and members of the Kingsmen Shakespeare Company, the professional theatre company of California Lutheran University. Our friendly instructors introduce campers and guide them through our Shakespeare inspired theatre classes. Prices are $285 for half day and $400 for full day camps; each session is 2 weeks. ArterieBanner600pxOur Art Camps sell out every year! Offered only when schools are on break, our camps are for students aged 6-13. Each camp runs Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p. (June 9 thru August 21). Students create a variety of 2D and sculptural pieces and work with materials, including paper mache, clay, wire and paint.

Camps are $350/camper and include all materials to make six to eight incredible projects each week, snacks, inspiration and fun! Projects vary by each camp.

Calling all high school students who like to create films:

Spend a week this summer at the Reagan Library working with a UC San Diego film professor, engaging with original footage and creating your own film. All student work will be posted on Reagan Library You Tube site and entered into film festival. Red Carpet even held in the winter and behind-the-scenes Hollywood studios tours offered to award winners.
