Tifa Opens New Store in Westlake Village

Tifa WSweet lovers, rejoice! Tifa Chocolate & Gelato has opened a new location in Westlake Village. Already an iconic establishment in Agoura Hills, the family-run business has expanded to test new ground. “We really wanted to build a little brand recognition,” said Shawn Orr, co-owner. “But we’re keeping the same warm and cozy vibe as our Agoura store.”

Situated between Bowl of Heaven and Green’s Up at the Shoppes at Westlake, Orr said the location was an obvious choice. “When you have two giant anchor stores like In-N-Out and Target, there’s a lot of foot traffic, and when you’re trying to build brand equity, this is a great place to be,” he said.

Shawn TifaThe store’s soft opening took place January 27, and Orr said a line formed outside the door that very first day. “I don’t know how they knew,” said Orr. “We hadn’t told a sole.”

All of the fresh baked goods and gelato are prepared each morning by Candace Orr, Shawn’s sister. “She’s up every morning at 4:30, makes everything and ships it all here,” he said.
