Lulu (who gave birth to eight pups, all since adopted) is a bouncy girl who enjoys a good toy, a dip in the pool and a game of fetch. She also enjoys hanging in the laundry area overseeing the volunteers as they wash and fold.
Here are some things you should know about her:
- She is very playful.
- She faces a predicament on her daily walks–which toy to choose.
- She loves sitting in the kiddy pool when the weather is warm.
- She has a sweet personality.
- Untrained when she arrived at the shelter, she has since learned “sit.”
Lulu is one of the lucky dogs that was transferred to Agoura from an overcrowded shelter. How and why are these pups chosen? Volunteers and staff at the other shelters consult and decide which are so special that they deserve that chance to be adopted at a shelter that has a high adoption rate. Usually, the transfer dogs fly out the door. Lulu has all the positive attributes of the others but is labeled a “pittie” breed so she has been around a bit longer. You know her breed gets a bad reputation but it’s really all about the training and socialization that’s needed. Rest assured, she has been getting plenty of both in Agoura.
At two-years-old, Lulu is a playful bundle of fun energy that loves zooming around the play yard and being with people. This active girl is looking for a savvy family who will continue her good dog training and love her as much as she will love them in return.
