This is a busy week in the sky. The Sun enters Gemini on Friday May 20th at 7:36 a.m. PDT.

On Saturday May 21st at 2:14 p.m. PDT, a Full Moon occurs when the Gemini Sun opposes the Moon in Sagittarius. The Gemini-Sagittarius polarity is a mental axis. The Gemini Sun encourages us to think logically, while the Sagittarius Moon persuades us to intuit, and to think in an expansive manner. The challenge at this Full Moon to maintain a balance between thinking inside and outside the box. So it is important to allow for more than one perspective when looking at business decisions. The question is, do we remain within our comfort levels (Gemini) or take a leap of faith (Sagittarius)?

This Full Moon is a great time for a vision quest. What has been building up in you that you need to bring forth? If you don’t have the answer yet, this weekend you may be full of the illumination you seek. Whatever it is, don’t sit on it, get it out. Remember Sagittarius rules the ninth house: wisdom, writing, publishing, travel. Express your inspiration. This Full Moon aligns with retrograde Mars. This can be an especially revealing time. There can be a real desire to master a situation. Watch for compulsive decisions and actions, but do pay close attention to what’s illuminated now. Just as the Sagittarius Full Moon is a time of expansion. Just don’t blow things out of proportion.

And last bit not least, I hope you have been navigating the retrograde periods as well as possible. Last week, which was the middle of Mercury retrograde, was one of the craziest I have ever experienced. I saw more miscommunications, misunderstandings, decision reversals and confusion than I can remember. Hang in there, this Sunday the 22nd at 6:20 a.m. PDT, Mercury turns direct. But before you make financial, contractual commitments or run out and buy electronics or appliances, whoa cowboy! Just because the Sunday newspaper ads say “while supplies last” or something else that reels you in “because you gotta have it,” think about for a week and then decide if you really want whatever that gadget is. You’ll be glad you did. Here’s why:

Mercury is in Taurus until June 12. During this transit it is wise to keep our thinking down to earth and grounded. Common sense reigns over frivolity. We prefer what we know works rather than new ideas. Focusing on one thing at a time can simplify our lives, but we may be in danger of narrow, overly conservative, or rigid thinking. When Mercury is in Taurus, it is important to think clearly regarding money matters.

Have a good busy week.
