Friday

A Bit of Local History Walk in Calabasas: King Gillette Ranch has been home to a variety of people and used for multiple purposes. Join us for a stroll around the property and learn the history behind it. Meet by fountain at 2 p.m.  

The Carnival for Las Virgenes Schools: The event will take place at Whizin Market Square (28914 Roadside Drive, Agoura Hills) Sept. 12-14. Admission to the carnival is FREE and proceeds benefit the Las Virgenes Unified School District. Pre-sale deals and information are available at TheFoundationLVS.org

 Calabasas Film FestivalVIP Passes and tickets are now on sale for the Calabasas Film Festival, taking place this weekend, September 12 – 14.  Visit www.thecalabasasfilmfestival.com for a full line-up of films and more festival information.  

Free Concert at Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza 20th Anniversary: Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza 20th anniversary free concert will feature David Benoit, Brooke White, Wendy Liebman and the new state-of-the-art sound system at 7 p.m.. Doors will open at 6:30 for open seating.

39th Conejo Valley Home Remodeling Show: Homeowners who are planning projects around their house can talk with professionals for ideas and advice at the 39th Conejo Valley Home Remodeling Show. The fall show is Saturday and Sunday, September 13 and 14 at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza (880 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village).

10th Annual Day of the Horses: Arabian horses and riders in costumes, horsemanship, tips from trainers, vendors, pony and carriage rides and more. Free admission. For more information, call 805-494-8755.

Free Screening of Despicable Me 2 at Reyes Adobe Park in Agourat: “Despicable Me 2” will be the movie on Saturday, September 13, 2014. The movie begins at dusk and is held at Reyes Adobe Park, located at 30400 Rainbow Crest Drive in Agoura Hills. These movies are free to the public.
