Friday

 

Harvest Festival at Dos Vientos: The Miller Family YMCA of Newbury Park and The Village at Dos Vientos Ranch are hosting a harvest festival on Friday, October 16 from 5-7 p.m. at The Village shopping center (320 Las Brisas, Newbury Park).

Halloween Dress Rehearsal at Disney Store at The Oaks Mall:Take the kids to a Halloween Dress Rehearsal at Disney Store, Join Disney store for a Halloween Party, including crafts, games and a costume parade.

16th Annual Reign of Terror Haunted House: The Reign of Terror the ticket office opens daily at 6 p.m. in the Janss Food Courtyard. General admission is $17, with VIP $25 admission tickets, for front of line access, available at the box office only.

 

Saturday

Pants Off Racing’s Almost 10K/5K Again for Pancreatic Cancer in Calabasas:Pants Off Racing’s first annual Almost 10K (and 5K) Again for Pancreatic Cancer is planned at Malibu Creek State Park on October 17, 2015 and will include a 1 mile fun run/walk, 5K and 10K distances. All proceeds from the event are used to assist families and support pancreatic cancer victims.

Conejo Schools Foundation 6th Annual Walk for Healthy Schools: The Conejo Schools Foundation is hosting its 7th Annual Walk for Healthy Schools on Saturday, October 17th at Conejo Creek North Park in Thousand Oaks. The family friendly 5K will start at 9:30 a.m. with walk-in registration opening at 9.

Fall Harvest Festival at Underwood Farms: Underwood Family Farms’ 18th Annual Fall Harvest Festival runs October 3-31 this year from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Calabasas Pumpkin Festival: The Calabasas Pumpkin Festival, a Calabasas legend since 1972, will be held on Saturday and Sunday, October 17th and 18th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Juan Bautista De Anza Park, 3701 Lost Hills Road, Calabasas.

Moorpark Harvest Festival: The Moorpark Morning Rotary Club announces the Moorpark Harvest Festival (formerly Moorpark Beer Tasting Festival) from 1-4:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 17th at Moorpark College. Presale tickets are sold at a 20 percent discount if purchased prior to October 2nd and are available at www.moorparkharvestfestival.com. Twenty breweries, ten food trucks and live entertainment!

13th Annual Westlake Village City Celebration: The City of Westlake Village’s 13th Annual City Celebration takes place on Saturday from 3-8 p.m. Event will feature local performers, food trucks, a twilight run – the Goblin Gallop, magic show at 6 p.m., electronic waste collection and the popular White Oak Elementary Family Festival.

Classical Oktoberfest Concert in Westlake Village: The Westlake Village Music Society, a community outreach program sponsored by Music Ministry at the United Methodist Church of Westlake Village, will present a “Classical Oktoberfest” concert at the church on Sunday, October 18 at 4 p.m.

Haunted Trails of the Night at Paramount Ranch: Families and runners of all levels and abilities are invited to experience trail running at Paramount Ranch on Oct. 17. It’s a 2.1 mile loop of runnable trails. The course is fairly easy with very little hills or climbing. At night, the trails are illuminated by glow sticks, goblins and spooky fun. Stay after the run for a haunted post run hang in the historic old ghost town.  There will be festive snacks and drinks.

Star Parties Hosted by Oak Canyon Astronomy Group in Oak Park:The Oak Canyon Astronomy Group Star Parties at Oak Canyon Park, 5600 Hollytree Drive, Oak Park are free to the public. The mission of the group is to bring an awareness of amateur astronomy to the community by showing what they can actually see in the night sky.

Heroes in Recovery 6K Run & Walk at Paramount Ranch:The 6th kilometer separates a Heroes from a typical 5K to symbolize the extra effort it takes to sustain recovery. A Heroes race will take place at Paramount Ranch in Agoura Hills on Sunday, October 18th at 8 a.m.

Fall Harvest Festival at Underwood Farms: Underwood Family Farms’ 18th Annual Fall Harvest Festival runs October 3-31 this year from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Thousand Oaks Street Fair: Start your early “Holiday Shopping” at this free family-friendly event with over 370 vendors, a Kids Zone, food and entertainment. Supporting over 70 charitable causes

Calabasas Pumpkin Festival: The Calabasas Pumpkin Festival, a Calabasas legend since 1972, will be held on Saturday and Sunday, October 17th and 18th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Juan Bautista De Anza Park, 3701 Lost Hills Road, Calabasas.
