Friday

 

3rd Annual Central Coast Comic Con: The 3rd Annual Central Coast Comic Con event is planned for Friday, August 28 4-9 p.m., Saturday, August 29 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, August 30 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Ventura County Fairgrounds, 10 West Harbor Boulevard.

Comedy Night at The Library in Thousand Oaks: Thousand Oaks Library Foundation presents Comedy Night at the Library with famous funny men, Jason Love, Frank Luscero and Don Friesen with PG rated comedy for the whole family. This special evening will also include a silent auction, refreshments and a cash bar.

Psycho Beach Party: Psycho Beach Party is an insanely (literally!) fun romp on Malibu Beach in 1962 — it’s what happens when Gidget, Frankie & Annette, and Alfred Hitchcock are given a shotgun marriage. TO ORDER TICKETS: Go online to www.conejoplayers.org or call the Box Office at 805.495.3715.

3rd Annual Central Coast Comic Con: The 3rd Annual Central Coast Comic Con event is planned for Friday, August 28 4-9 p.m., Saturday, August 29 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, August 30 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Ventura County Fairgrounds, 10 West Harbor Boulevard.

Kids Fun Zone at Janss Marketplace: The Kids Fun Zone craft events meets the last Saturday of every month from 12-3 p.m. at the Janss Marketplace. Kids Fun Zone membership includes lifetime membership cards, free seasonal crafts (rain or shine, while supplies last, for ages 12 and under), merchant discounts and birthday gifts.

Summer String Concerts at the Agoura Hills Library: The Agoura Hills Library is presenting the second Summer String Concerts from 2-3 p.m. LA Phil violinist Paul Stein, violinist Aaron Oltman and cellist David Garrett will be performing ‘Classics, Romantics and Tangos.’

Southeast Ventura County YMCA Taste of Adventure Guides BBQ in Agoura Hills: The Southeast Ventura County YMCA will be hosting a free “Taste of Adventure Guides” barbeque on Saturday, August 29 from 5-7 p.m. at Willow Elementary School (29026 Laro Dr.) in Agoura Hills.

‘Toy Story’ at Malibu Bluffs Park: Take the family, blankets and beach chairs and head over to Bluffs Park, 24250 Pacific Coast Highway to watch the perennial hit Toy Story.

‘From Set to Screen’ at Paramount Ranch: Take an easy-paced one hour walk behind the scenes to discover the illusions and history of Paramount Ranch.
