Annual Pioneer Jamboree at Stagecoach Inn Museum: Featured activities include gold panning, pioneer and Indian games, storytelling, antique toys, rock painting, butter churning, clothes washing, lemon squeezing, old-time school lessons, handwriting, cornhusk and yarn doll making, humongous bubble blowing, old-fashioned costume dress-up and others.

Humane Society of Ventura County Open House: Be part of the solution! Stop by the Humane Society of Ventura County between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to celebrate 84 years of service to Ventura County’s animals!

Free Family Space Days Event at Janss Marketplace: NASA/JPL educators Andrea Diamond and Richard Borland will welcome visitors to experience a space exploration with displays, presentations and activities at the event location near Burlington and the fountain courtyard at Janss Marketplace.

Kids Ranch Brand Program at Rancho Sierra Vista: Learn the history and importance of Rancho Sierra Vista’s ranch brand. Children (5 & up) will “Brand” and decorate their own leather wristband. Materials provided. Limited seating.

Wilderness Survival Basics Program at King Gillette Ranch: Ever wonder what it takes to get prepared for a wilderness survival situation? Join us on this program and learn some of the basics and tips you hopefully will never have to use.

Free Outdoor Movie Screening of ‘Minions’ in Simi Valley: Rancho Simi Recreation & Park District presents free movies at Rancho Simi Community Park.

4th Annual Free Summer Movie Series at Malibu Country Mart ‘Pee Wee’s Big Adventure:’ With showings on June 11th, June 25th, and July 2nd, the shopping center encourages families, shoppers, Malibu locals and movie fans to grab their beach blankets and picnic baskets to watch fun, family movies projected onto a giant outdoor screen.

FREE Household Hazardous Waste Roundup for Agoura: Safely dispose of household hazardous waste such as antifreeze, unused pharmaceuticals, car batteries, used motor oil, paint, pesticides, home-generated sharps waste, e-waste, and more. It’s a free and easy way to safely dispose of items that are too toxic to trash.

Knights of Columbus Chili Cookoff & Car Show in Simi Valley: There will be ample quantities of chili, hot dogs, hamburgers, polish sausage, cotton candy, soft ice cream, beer and soda.

Free Celtic Concert at the Thousand Oaks Library: The show features Lisa Lynne & Aryeh Frankfurter playing two Celtic harps, the rare Swedish Nyckelharpa, and assorted instruments from the mandolin, cittern and bouzouki family.

City of Malibu Concert on the Bluffs Music Event: The concert will include easy music from classical to film to pop music, set against Malibu’s stunning mountains and coastline. Featuring world-class musicians from the Malibu Chamber Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic and composers Marco Beltrami, Maria Newman, Trevor Rabin and Gordon Sumner.

Sunday Concert in the Park at Peter Strauss Ranch: Tiny Porch Concerts presents: Ted Z & the Wranglers deliver outlaw country-changed rock. The band stirs up it Americana influences.
