Underwood Farms – Free Admission if Dressed in Full CostumeUnderwood Family Farms’ 17th Annual Fall Harvest Festival in Moorpark is September 27th through October 31st with special weekend events highlighted below. As in past years, the 2014 festival will be open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Admission is $15 on Saturdays and Sundays and $3 per person Monday through Friday. Children under 2 are free! Free parking.

CinderellaDRAMA Premiers at High Street Arts CenterBased on the classic Brothers Grimm Fairytale, but with a Melodrama twist. Written & Directed by Rick Pratt PERFORMANCE DATES are October 31 – November 23, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays at 8 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m.

Trunk or Treat at Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center: The Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center will hold its 3rd annual Trunk or Treat event, supported by our ‘Daring Diamond’ sponsor, Horizons at Calabasas, from 3-5 p.m. 

“Maliboo” Country Mart Halloween Trick-or-Treating Event: Ghosts and gals can enjoy trick-or-treating from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at selected shops (participating shops will display a Halloween balloon). The at Malibu Country Mart, 3825 Cross Creek Road, Malibu, will be decked out in Halloween decor, including pumpkins and hay bales to create the ultimate festive atmosphere. Children and families should head over to the Jester Court for the children’s costume contest at 6 p.m. The lucky winner will receive a $100 gift certificate. 

Halloween Carnival: Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District present the 9th Annual Indoor Halloween Carnival at Oak Park Community Center, 1000 N. Kanan Rd., Oak Park. The event runs from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Admission is $2 for ages 2 and up; $1 for under 2 years. No charge to parents with children.

Sagebrush Cantina’s Halloween Party & Costume Contest: Free admission! Friday, October 31, beginning at 6 p.m. with Skin Deep Nightmare taking the stage at 10:30 p.m. Must be 21 and over. Trunk or Treat at First Baptist Church of Thousand OaksGo Trunk-or-Treating at First Baptist Church on the corner of Erbes Rd. and La Granada (where Janss Rd. meets Erbes) in Thousand Oaks. Event starts at 7 p.m. It’s completely free, lots of neat trunks being decorated, candy, carnival games, face painting, funnel cakes, and food. Everyone is welcome!

 

 Saturday

Brandon’s Buddies Free Kids Club for Special Needs Kids in Calabasas: Brandon’s Buddies is a FREE KIDS CLUB that meets every month at Brandon’s Village at Gates Canyon Park in Calabasas. This playground is the first fully-accessible playground in the region. The day may include Integrated Play, Face Painting, Arts & Crafts, Entertainment and Treats. Please feel free to bring a sack lunch.

Moms of Conejo Holiday Boutique in Thousand Oaks: MOMS of Conejo Holiday Boutique will take place at Hideout Indoor Playground from 6-9 p.m. Ten percent of proceeds will benefit Children’s Auxiliary Services of Ventura County.

Rock It 2 The Core Yoga/Music Festival: Made possible by the Grossman Burn Foundation; Rock it 2 the Core is a rock infused, charity driven yoga/music festival uniting the community, raising awareness and empowering youth. Experience 90 minutes of Yoga with top Yogis in the region-shop the unique vendors and indulge your culinary senses with L.A.’s top food trucks and kombucha garden. Be mesmerized by a special choreographed dance performance, and deeply moved by meeting the real heroes who have rescued young girls from sex slavery and human trafficking. Conejo Valley “Mud Crazy” Mud Run 5K in Newbury Park: The 5th Annual Conejo Valley Halloween Mud Run 5K takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Dos Vientos Community Park, 4801 Borchard Road, Newbury Park. 

3rd Annual Bark for Life of Westlake VillageThe 3rd Annual Bark For Life of Westlake Village Event will be taking place on Sunday November 2, at Berniece Bennett Park . Registration will begin at 10:30 am, Opening Ceremonies will start at 11 am. We are pleased to announce our Grand Marshal will be cancer survivor Elisa Becker and her canine companions Julia and Delilah. Special Guest INDY and his owner Jenny Mandel. 

Premiere of Spirit of the Mountains Photo Exhibit in Calabasas: Attend the opening of Spirit of the Mountains Photo Exhibit and announcement of winners from 2-4 p.m. For more information, go to nps.gov/samo/photocontest.htm.  

Conejo Valley Youth Orchestra-CVYO GOES POPS! Featuring POP Legends THE FOUR PREPS and THE NEW CHORDETTES!: The union of young musicians and musicians with decades of experience, along with the fusion of Pop and Classical genres. Well known Composer/Arranger Ed Lojeski will join the orchestra on piano. This performance will be FUN for all concert goers! Jeff Bridges at the Canyon Club: The Academy Award winning actor is also an accomplished country/Americana musician. The show starts at 9 p.m.
