Friday

Celebrate Harry Potter’s Birthday at The Open Book at The Oaks: Take the kids to The Open Book at The Oaks in Thousand Oaks to celebrate Harry Potter’s Birthday July 31, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Every child under the age of 12 will receive a bag full of kids books! There will be a costume contest, trivia, find-the-snitch game, a magician, birthday cake and more.

Movie Under the Stars–’A Bug’s Life’: Followed by a summer family camp out! Friday August 1st at 7-10 p.m., at De Anza Park, music, games, prizes, snacks and movie at 8:15 p.m! Bring the entire family out for games, movie, camp songs, campout, pancake breakfast and morning hike!

Robert Cray at the Canyon Club:The Grammy winning Blues guitarist performs at 9 p.m.

 

Saturday

Kids’ Fishing Frenzy: The Conejo Recreation and Park District in conjunction with the Thousand Oaks Kiwanis Club is hosting its annual Fishing Frenzy event at Conejo Creek North Park, 1379 East Janss Road (behind Thousand Oaks Library) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Brandon’s Buddies Free Kids Club for Special Needs Kids:Brandon’s Buddies is a FREE KIDS CLUB that meets every month at Brandon’s Village at Gates Canyon Park in Calabasas. This playground is the first fully-accessible playground in the region. The day may include Integrated Play, Face Painting, Arts & Crafts, Entertainment and Treats.

Fairy Tales in the Park: Fairy Tales in the Park is a series of free, live theatrical performances geared towards children ages 3 to 10.

Great Conejo Campout: Take everyone along for this family event! Bring a tent or sleep under the stars outside at Dos Vientos Park. Includes Saturday night dinner, Sunday morning breakfast, and snacks throughout the event. Camp games & crafts, a campfire & night hike!

 

Sunday

 

Malibu Cars and Coffee: The City of Malibu, in partnership with Exclusive Motorcars, Southern California’s top car enthusiasts will enjoy a beautiful drive down the coast to meet at Malibu Bluffs Park, 24250 Pacific Coast Highway, from 7-9 a.m.

City of Agoura Hills Summer Concerts in the Park–Fortunate Son: A Tribute to Creedance Clearwater Revival: “Fortunate Son: A Tribute to Creedance Clearwater Revival” will be the featured artists performing on Sunday, August 2nd.   All concerts begin on Sundays at 6 p.m. and are held at Chumash Park, located at 5550 Medea Valley Drive in Agoura Hills. These concerts are free to the public.
