Friday

 

Halloween Carnival at Malibu Bluffs Park: The City of Malibu’s Halloween Carnival will take place at Malibu Bluffs Park on Friday, October 24, 2014 from 3-6 p.m. Admission to the event is free; game tickets and bounce house tickets are $5. The event is open to the public and appropriate for children ages 2 through 10. 

Conejo YMCA’s Halloween Fun Night: Kids can get an early start on their Halloween activities at the Conejo Valley YMCA’s Halloween Family Fun Night, Friday October 24 from 6-8 p.m. There will be There will be pumpkin carving, crafts and family swim time in the Y’s heated indoor pool. Admission is free and the community is invited. 

St. Paschal Baylon Fall Fest in Thousand Oaks: The annual St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church Fall Fest is planned for Friday through Sunday, October 24, 25 and 26 at 155. E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks. Free admission. There will be carnival rides, carnival games, concessions, sweets, performances, wine and cheese tasting, live jazz, auction, car raffle and much more! Hours of operation are 6-11 p.m. on Friday, 1-11 p.m. on Saturday and 12-9 p.m. on Sunday. For more information, go to www.spbfestival.com.

 ‘Thrill the World’ Festivities and Performance at Cal Lutheran Thousand OaksCalifornia Lutheran University invites the public to participate in free master classes and a worldwide performance of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” as part of its Day of Dance. The “Thriller” performance at 3 p.m. in Kingsmen Park on the Thousand Oaks campus is part of “Thrill The World,” an annual simultaneous dance to Jackson’s hit song. People are encouraged to dress as zombies. A dance party will start at 1:30 p.m.

Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza 20th Anniversary Free Day: Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza 20th anniversary free day will feature performances in the Fred Kavli Theatre and the Scherr Forum from 12-5. The day will begin at 10:30am with a Gallery Reception in the Fred Kavli Theatre for the art exhibit “A Look Back” which features the best of the art that has been showcased in the complex in the past 20 years. The performances will begin at noon

Halloween Fun at the Stagecoach Inn Newbury Park: Fro 12:30-4:430 p.m., stop by for some old fashioned Halloween fun! There will be many activities, including a cupcake walk, Halloween storytelling, trick-or-treating, crafts and games and gold panning. 

Halloween Fun at Leonis Adobe Museum: Come and celebrate Halloween at the Leonis Adobe, 23537 Calabasas Road, Calabasas, on Saturday, October 25th from 1-4 p.m. Kids may dress up in costumes for a fun filled afternoon with pumpkins, music, face painting, games, crafts and a special appearance by Regina the Witch. Halloween Haunted Trail, Costume Contest and Trick-or-Treat Street in Thousand OaksThe Conejo Recreation & Park District’s, Thousand Oaks Community Center, located at 2525 N. Moorpark Rd, will be offering a night full of safe Halloween fun specifically for young children on Saturday, October 25th from 6-9 p.m. The annual Haunted Trail is a short Halloween hike appropriate for kids of all ages and packed full of fun. At the end of the trail there will be a hayride that returns “hikers” to the “haunted trailhead.” Tickets are $3 per person and can be purchased at the gate. The “Trail” will be open from 7-9 p.m.

From Set to Screen at Paramount Ranch: Learn the secrets that turn a dusty set into a realistic town. Join us on this easy-paced one hour walk behind the scenes to discover the illusions and history of Paramount Ranch. Meet at 9:30 a.m.  

Ghost Tours at Strathearn Park in Simi Valley: Ghost Tours at Strathearn Park, 137 Strathearn Place, Simi Valley are back again this October! Tours are limited to 20-25 people. Admission: $10 for adults, $8 for ages 6 to 10 and no charge for children under 5. Tours last approximately 1 1/2 hours. Tours will start every 15 minutes.

Conejo Valley Community Concert and Jazz Band Concert in Agoura Hills: The Conejo Valley Community Concert and Jazz Bands Fall concert will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 4 p.m. at Lindero Canyon Middle School, located at 5844 Larboard Lane in Agoura Hills.
