Humane Society of Ventura County’s 4th Annual Purrs & Paws Holiday Boutique Fundraiser:Over 40 vendors will be selling unique, quality, handcrafted items. You’ll find gift baskets, pet gifts, home & holiday décor, jewelry, baby gifts, aprons, cards, yard art, terrariums and much more! This is a great opportunity to buy holiday gifts or something special for your home or garden while helping the animals of HSVC.

Kids’ Wildlife Biologist Program at Paramount Ranch:Be a Wildlife Biologist! Kids, ages 5-12, learn about a project to re-introduce the endangered California red-legged frog with a hands-on simulation.

Conejo Valley “Mud Crazy” Mud Run 5K in Newbury Park:This event is for families and competitors looking for a challenge and aren’t afraid of a little mud! The courses feature mud pits, slides, hay bales and various obstacles…climbs, crawls and tunnels.

2nd Annual Nottingham Festival Renaissance Faire in Simi Valley:The 2nd Annual Nottingham Festival traditional Renaissance Faire & Artisan Marketplace is coming to Civic Center Park, 3855 Alamo Street, Simi Valley from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

15th Annual Moorpark Rotary Civil War Reenactment in Thousand Oaks:The Rotary Club of Moorpark presents what is called the largest and grandest Civil War Reenactment west of the Mississippi at a new location this year – Cal Lutheran University.

Thousand Oaks High School Choir Hosts Sing Along Movie: The choir will be hosting two movies at the Thousand Oaks High School Performing Arts Center (PAC)

Stargazing Program at Rancho Sierra Vista: Focus on Astronomy and the National Park Service presents “Stargazing: The Skies of Fall” Explore the wonders of the night sky!

Arete Vocal Ensemble ‘An American in Paris’ Concert in Thousand Oaks: Areté Vocal Ensemble will kick off its seventh season at California Lutheran University with “An American in Paris.” The concert will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, in Samuelson Chapel on the Thousand Oaks campus.

‘The Kid’ Screening at Hillcrest Center Thousand Oaks:The Hillcrest Center for the Arts will screen Charlie Chaplin’s classic silent film The Kid with live music accompaniment by Rick Friend. One performance only will be held on Sunday, November 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts 403 W. Hillcrest Dr. in Thousand Oaks.
