Friday

Reyes Adobe Days in Agoura – Night at the Adobe: A casually elegant evening of art, music, wine, beer, food and shopping at the magical Reyes Adobe Historical Site 6-9 p.m. $20 in advance (by October 8th), $25 at the door.

‘An Evening with George Burns’ at Thousand Oaks Library: An Evening with George Burns…and pie! Enjoy dessert and coffee, and watch actor, director and writer Duffy Hudson bring to life an American comic legend. This event is part of  Thousand Oaks Reads One City One Book. 15th Annual Reign of Terror Haunted House: The Reign of Terror ticket office in the Janss food courtyard area will open daily at 6 p.m. on the Haunted House dates. Tickets can also be purchased at participating Janss Marketplace store. Visit www.janssmarketplace.net for merchant ticket locations and list of special Janss Marketplace shopping and dining offers for ticket holders. Admission is $17 ($25 for express pass). 

Tony Award Winner Faith Prince in ConcertThe show will take place Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. at the Agoura Hills Performing Arts Education Center with a reception afterward at Bellini Osteria in Westlake.  On Oct. 11, Prince will be teaching a master class at the Thousand Oaks Library from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for students in 9th grade and up. 3rd Annual Bark in the Park Event in Thousand Oaks: The 3rd Annual Bark in the Park is planned for Saturday, October 11th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Conejo Creek Playfield North (new location in 2014). Dog activities and festival for dog owners, dog lovers and dogs! Dog contests, dog crafts, exhibits, vendor booths, dog games, food vendors and pet adoptions. Other activities will include dock diving contests, big and small dog contests and fetching and sniffing contests. Free event! For more details, visit www.crpd.org/bark or call 805.375.1003.

First Annual Conejo Valley Zombie Walk​​​​​​​Grab your family, friends and coworkers and join Thousand Oaks Girls Softball Association (TOGSA) on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 3 p.m. for the first Annual Conejo Valley Zombie Walk. For $35 per person or $100 per family, you can join the undead for a mile and half walk that will plague the streets surrounding the TOGSA softball fields (located at Los Cerritos Middle School). Immediately following the walk, enjoy an outdoor movie, dinner and dessert from one of the food vendors, an event t-shirt, and access to our Kids Zone. Visit togsa.org for more information.

Rattlesnake Avoidance Training for Dogs: Mountains Restoration Trust and Sierra Pacific Flyfishers will be hosting a Rattlesnake Avoidance Training for Dogs at Headwaters Corner in Calabasas on October 12. The proceeds from this event will go towards conservation programs both organizations employ to help protect the Santa Monica Mountains for all to enjoy. Training takes only 20-30 minutes, but please be ready to spend an hour at the event. For more information and to register please visit www.mountainstrust.org

Westlake High School Fall Food Truck Festival: Food trucks will be lining the parking lot at Conejo Creek Park North in Thousand Oaks on Sun., Oct. 12, for the fifth annual Westlake High School Fall Food Truck Festival. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
