Friday

Big Jamboree for Big Brothers Big Sisters: Pull on your cowboy boots and join Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County for a night of dancing, music, prizes and surprises at the BIG JAMBOREE, presented by Wells Fargo, on Friday, June 6. The fundraiser will take place at the Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks.  

 Van Halen Tribute by Fan Halen at the Canyon Club: You’ll think Eddie and the boys are in the room when Fan Halen takes the stage, playing the music of rock ‘n roll icons Van Halen. Showtime is at 9 p.m. Click here for ticket information.

 

 Saturday

The Event: Tickets are still available for the annual fundraiser which will take place at the Calabasas Tennis and Swim Center from 5-11 p.m. All proceeds raised will benefit The Foundation for Las Virgenes Schools. For more information and to order tickets, click here.

Raptor Heaven Walk in Calabasas: Take a one mile walk in search of birds of prey. Bring binoculars. Beginners are welcome. Meet at the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area Interagency Visitor Center, Mulholland Highway in Calabasas from 8:30-10:30 a.m.

Fairy Tales in the Park in Westlake Village: Fairy Tales in the Park is a series of free, live theatrical performances geared towards children ages 3 to 10. John and Roxanne Diesel co-founded Gypsies in a Trunk, an all-volunteer troupe of actors performing free fairy tales for the young and young at heart. Click here for details.

Don Rickles at the Canyon Club: See the legendary comedian perform at 9 p.m.

Artwalk 2014 in Thousand Oaks: ArtWalk ’14 takes place on Saturday and Sunday, June 7th and 8th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Bank of America Building at Hillcrest and Wilbur Streets in Thousand Oaks. ArtWalk is a two day, juried, fine arts and designer crafts outdoor exhibition presented by the Conejo Valley Art Museum with the assistance of the Conejo Recreation and Park District. Over 100 artists will have their work on display and for sale.

Cultural Workshop at Satwiwa Native American Indian Culture Center: From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., take a cultural workshop with Huma artist Kat High, who will teach how to make round reed baskets. Materials will be provided. All ages are welcome. For more information, call 805.370.2301.
