‘Wide Open’ Photography Award-Winners On Exhibit in Thousand Oaks

The 2015 WIDE OPEN Fine Art Photography & Digital Show is a unique visual display of fine art that incorporates the use of “after capture” skills of photographers. Using computers, they improve the visual impact of their images.

The 136 works by 36 artists will be on exhibition and for sale at the Thousand Oaks Community Gallery through June 26 and will be open for public viewing from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

The net proceeds from this Show, but not less than $500, will be (or has been) donated to the Agoura Hills Cultural Arts Council to help fund a new high school short film competition for juniors and seniors residing or attending school in the Greater Conejo Valley.

Judged by Thomas Evans Howell of Camp Nelson (Springville), 31 artists received awards in eight Show Categories with Nikolai Sklobovsky of Thousand Oaks winning Best of Show for his submission entitled “Fire Works.”
