The 10th Annual Reyes Adobe Days, taking place Oct. 9-12, will offer several new attractions in addition to returning festival favorites.
The Event line-up is as follows:
Senior Fiesta at the Adobe: (Oct. 9 at 11:30 a.m.) Held at the Reyes Adobe Historical Site, the luncheon will feature Mexican food, Spanish dancing, live music, an art gallery preview and free museum tours. The event is $10 and reservations are required. Call (818) 597- 7361 for ticket information.
Night at the Adobe: (Oct. 10) is an evening gala under the stars and opening reception for the [email protected] art gallery. The night showcases local cuisine, wine, beer, live music and an art preview. A new attraction is the Farmhouse tent, where guests can meet the artists and artisans. Organized by the Agoura Hills Cultural Arts Council, the event, scheduled from 6-9 p.m., is for adults 21 and older. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door and includes wine and food tasting.
RAD 10K: (Oct. 11: ) starts off Saturday’s events with a morning run through scenic Agoura Hills. Race entry fees include a T-shirt. For preregistration information, visit www.reyesadobedays.org.
Reyes Adobe Days Parade: (Oct. 11) takes to the street at 10 a.m. with celebrity Grand Marshal Cinco Paul who will be joined by a mile-long procession of floats, music, classic cars and entertainment. The event begins at Yerba Buena Elementary School and will travel down Reyes Adobe Rod to Reyes Adobe Historical Site for the Day at the Adobe family festival.
Day at the Adobe: (Oct. 11-12) is a free weekend festival for the whole family to play, eat and shop with music and performance stages; strolling acts; cultural activities that (includes children’s rancho-themed activities); camel and pony rides; historical demonstrations and museum tours. The art gallery will be open for browsing and there will also be food and artisan vendors onsite. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
Gymkhana Horse Playday & BBQ: (Oct. 12) pays tribute to Agoura Hills’ equestrian heritage with six fun contests held at the Old Agoura Equestrian Arena. The fee to enter is $6 per contest. All six contests is $25 and participants must provide their own horse. The event starts ta 9 a.m.
