Thousands of people lined both sides of T.O. Blvd. between Duesenberg Dr. and Erbes Rd. in Thousand Oaks Saturday morning to watch the city’s 50th anniversary parade. Floats representing local dignitaries, businesses, schools and charitable organizations entertained the crowds for almost two hours.
Thousand Oaks residents Robin Sible and Joyce Wiechert felt it was important to commemorate the day. “I used to come to Conejo Valley Days with my kids,” said Weichert, a 44-year resident. “And this really seemed like an important day to be here, so I talked [Robin] into coming with me.”
“Yes, she did,” Sible said. “I haven’t been to a local parade in about 30 years. But I felt that this was the year to come back and see the parade again.”
