One of the much-awaited community events of the year is back with a bang, celebrating six decades of fun, fanfare and family atttractions.
“It’s bigger and better than ever,” said Mary-Catherine McBride, executive director of Conejo Valley Days. “We have more rides, more events, more sponsors, more things for everyone to look forward to.”
What’s new this year? The STEM Exhibition Pavilion sponsored by UCLA Health and CBC Federal Credit Union will be showcasing the science, technology, engineering and math accomplishments of local students. Non-profit group Art Trek will be around on Saturday and Sunday to show kids and adults some drawing and banner-making techniques. Also on Saturday and Sunday, look for animal shows courtesy of The Reptile Family!
Young, local bands are also expected to provide some live entertainment throughout the week. “It’s fun and it’s nice to see so many familiar faces every year, supporting this event that brings the community together,” said Dan Johnson, 2010 Grand Marshall of Conejo Valley Days.
The five-day extravaganza began on Thursday, May 11th and will go on till Sunday, May 15th, at Conejo Creek Park in Thousand Oaks.
