Chevy-Metal-flyerFor the second year, fans of Chevy Metal (cover band featuring Foo Fighters’ drummer Taylor Hawkins) can see the band up close during the 60th Annual Conejo Valley Days (CVD). Chevy Metal will be performing Saturday, May 14 at CVD (Conejo Creek Park South in Thousand Oaks).

Besides Chevy Metal, scheduled to perform on Saturday are Charlie Overbey and the Broken Arrows, Dinamita Pa/The Mockers, Chum (Phish tribute band), Ro Ashika and Gene Loves Jezebel. Acts will perform from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with Chevy Metal performing around 4 p.m. MTV’s Rasika Mathur will be the MC all day.

Rock & Roll Pizza is the CVD stage sponsor. Owner David Viera said the acts like the small, intimate setting of CVD. “They are used to playing stadiums or before thousands of people,” said Viera. “Here, they are close to their fans. It’s not a normal thing. They can also bring their families and ride the rides. It’s a cool opportunity to hang out and have fun.”

Country music is the theme for Friday night, May 13, with free line dancing lessons by Krystal Lynn Konzen. Country outfits are encouraged. A full entertainment lineup will be posted soon for all five days.

The 60th Annual Conejo Valley Days will be held May 11 through May 15. Follow Conejo Valley Days on Facebook, and Twitter, @CVDays60.
