Teen actor Corey Fogelmanis will be the 2015 Reyes Adobe Days’ parade grand marshal, as part of the four-day Reyes Adobe Days festival and celebration, Oct. 1-4. Fogelmanis, best known for his role as Farkle Minkus on “Girl Meets World, a popular television sitcom that airs on the Disney Channel. Growing up in Thousand Oaks, the 16-year-old actor started his career on stage at the Conejo Players Theatre at the age of 8 and intends to pursue a musical theater career on Broadway after college. When his schedule permits Fogelmanis still volunteers at local theaters, running lights or working backstage and also at Paw Works, an animal adoption center in Thousand Oaks.

Featured artist for the [email protected] gallery is street artist Michael Cook aka “Cookie.” With Lori Monaco, Cookie established Agoura Hills’s The Street Art Loft, a gallery and showroom containing the art of established and rising artists from Southern California. Located in Whizin’s Arcade, the gallery founded “The Street Art Live,” an art-walk-style event that shares the ever-evolving art culture with the community. As part of Reyes Adobe Days, the [email protected] gallery will highlight street art with a special show that features the works of Cookie and other street artists with live painting during the event, bringing the exciting and contemporary urban art scene to the festival.
The RAD Farmhouse tent will return with local artisans–brew masters, textile artists, jewelers–under one big festival tent. During Night at the Adobe and Day at the Adobe, the public can shop for locally-made, hand-crafted jewelry, accessories, beauty and spa treatments, gift items as well as sample award-winning microbrews. Ladyface Ale will offer Reyes Adobe Red, specifically brewed for Reyes Adobe Days with a percentage of proceeds benefitting the historical site.
Gourmet Food Trucks will include a lobster food truck this year along with traditional Mexican and barbecue and ice cream trucks that the public looks forward to each year.
There will be two additions to Day at the Adobe–a free, two-day family festival–along with returning popular Kid’s Corral with wildlife exhibits, pony rides, petting zoo and train depot. New rancho theme activities for children include corn grinding and fish catching games along with the popular laundry washing and arts-and-craft stations. Featured entertainment will be kicking up country flavor with Gold Rush Country and the Doo-wah Riders, plus southern rock tributes to Bob Seeger and Greg Allman. Returning as part of the festival events are the Senior Fiesta on October 1 with Mexican buffet, entertainment and a preview of the art gallery and Reyes Adobe Historical Site Museum tours, Night at the Adobe on October 2 with a beer and wine tasting and artist reception, RADrun 10K and 10 mile runs through the scenic Santa Monica Mountains on October 3, and the Gymkhana equestrian competitions on October 4. Applications are now being accepted for sponsors, volunteers and parade entrants to be part of the 11th Annual Reyes Adobe Days (RAD), coming this fall October 1 – 4, 2015.
