17th Annual Thousand Oaks Arbor/Earth Day Celebration

April 5, 2014 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

This zero-waste Festival will feature a host of exhibitors who will provide tips and products to help families to “Go Green.” New to the event this year will be the Wyland Foundation’s Clean Water Mobile Learning Experience. This mobile exhibit helps to increase visitor’s knowledge of the function of watersheds as well as understanding the impact that communities have on these systems. Upon entering the learning center, visitors become new recruits to the Clean Water Challenge (CWC) Task Force. Their mission: To solve mysterious disturbances in the health of our nation’s water habitats via a 4D theater experience and hands-on science activities.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Conejo Creek Park, 1379 E. Janss Road in Thousand Oaks, part of a City of Thousand Oaks 50th Anniversary event.

For more information, visit www.toaks.org/GoGreen or call 805-449-2660 ext. 7358.
