Newbury Park High School Choral Music Department Presents Annual Spring Concert

March 27, 2015 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The Award-Winning Newbury Park High School Choral Music Department will present its Annual Spring Concerts on Thursday, and Friday, March 26 and 27 at 7 p.m. in the Newbury Park High School Performing Arts Center located at 456 Reino Rd. in Newbury Park. The concerts will feature a variety of choral and solo numbers sung by the Newbury Park Concert Choir, the Panther Chamber Singers, the Women’s Ensemble, and the Men’s Chorus all under the direction of Mr. John Sargent.

The Newbury Park High School Choral Music Department has consistently been awarded top honors at choral festivals in the Los Angeles area and elsewhere in the United States. Last spring, the Newbury Park High School Concert Choir and Panther Chamber Singers competed in the 2014 Heritage Festival in San Diego and both choirs earned First Place Gold and the Adjudicator Award. Additionally, Chamber Singers were awarded Outstanding Choral Group, and both groups were honored with the Sweepstakes Award.

This year, all four choirs have been invited to participate in the 2015 Heritage of Gold Festival to be held in Seattle in April. All proceeds from this Spring Concert will help offset the cost of this trip.

NPHS Choral Music Concerts are open to the public, and tickets can be purchased for a donation of $10.00 each. Tickets can be purchased from any Newbury Park High School Choir member, or they may be purchased at the Newbury Park High School Performing Arts Box Office the evening of the concert.
