Rock it 2 the Core announces its annual benefit yoga/music festival

It’s yoga. It’s a concert. It’s a movement.

Made possible by the Grossman Burn Foundation

Rock it 2 the Core is a rock infused, charity driven yoga/music festival uniting the community, raising awareness and empowering youth. Experience 90 minutes of Yoga with top Yogis in the region-shop the unique vendors and indulge your culinary senses with L.A.’s top food trucks and kombucha garden. Be mesmerized by a special choreographed dance performance, and deeply moved by meeting the real heroes who have rescued young girls from sex slavery and human trafficking. This year’s beneficiary is Unlikely Heroes.

Unlikely Heroes’ mission is to identify, rescue, and rehabilitate child victims of sex slavery by providing each rescued child with a safe restoration home and by training people on the issue of human traffic king and how to effectively respond to it. “Every human being no matter what race, color or age, was born to be free and to stay free. Sex trafficking can seem like too big of a problem when we think about fighting it on our own. But history has proven that when people join their voices together, change is inevitable.”

Drorit Rudin –

Drorit started Agoura Power of Yoga because she loves yoga and all that it adds to one’s life. “It brings peace and harmony, clarity of mind as well as a physically fit body.” Her class is geared toward new yogis as well as long time practicing yogis who will enjoy the challenge of power yoga and the music her class has to offer.

Drorit’s training was an intensive one in Yoga Therapy by the incredible Gabriela Hansen in Ojai California. Through her training with Gabriela as well her life experience, she combines a very challenging music filled class with the traditional principles of hatha yoga focusing especially on the therapeutic aspects of the breath and the power of the mind. It is very important to her that she helps guide both old and new into a deep meditation after a tough class that opens the body and prepares the mind to a place of nothingness. This is how true peace is achieved.

The Bands

7 Lions:

“A rock show that gives you a reason to dance,” this is what 7LIONS, the newest band signed to superstar producer RedOne’s label 2101 Records, brings to it’s fans. This Los Angeles based aggregation reveals a potent merger of rock and hiphop like it’s never been done before. The difference between 7LIONS and the pioneers before them is the fusion of the urban hip-hop poetry from their rapper Mika “Prophet” Guillory, the alternative rock influences of their lead singer/guitarist Forrest Fulmer and the electronic/pop/rock production of their keyboardist Morgan Taylor Reid; diverse musical backgrounds that create an explosive, epic sound. A tight knit group, 7LIONS also includes band members Will Carpenter (Lead Guitar/Back-Up Vox), Daniel Hange (Bass) and Tony Tommasi (Drums). www.7Lions4ever.com
