Visitors to the Agoura Hills Public Library on Saturday enjoyed tea and cakes at the 8th annual Victorian Holiday Tea Party.
Children’s librarian Grace Bernard originated the festive event as a sit-down tea party with traditional English-style holiday treats. Party-goers are also invited to wear their holiday finest.”We wanted to create a festive, stress-free environment for parents and their children,” said Bernard. “It’s a wonderful ambiance in the library, where you can sip your favorite herbal tea while enjoying treats.”
Mayor Illece Buckley Weber presented awards to the winners of the bookmark art contest, enjoyed tea and cookies and helped decorate cupcakes. The four big winners won $15 gift certificate to Starbucks and a Pentel marker set.
