Dante, a 2-year-old male Pit Bull, came to the shelter as a stray, but no worries, nothing in his past has affected his zest for life and his ability to make the most of everything. He is a young boy who loves to have fun.
But before you fall totally head-over-heels in love with him, remember he is still a puppy and that means he has tons of boundless energy. He will need a family that has the time, love and tenderness (and patience) to teach him to be the best dog ever!
Here are some things you should know about him:
- He loves toys and will play with them on his own for over an hour in the play yard.
- He walks great on leash.
- He knows “sit.”
- He is a playful goofball that loves to play.
Remember how it was mentioned that he is still a puppy and needs a family who will continue to train him? Well, he can become jumpy when he plays. Playing is good, but he needs someone to teach him to behave and to be obedient when it’s the right time. He can only learn what he is taught and he seems to want to learn as much as possible. And since he already knows how to sit and walk well on leash, he should be able to learn everything you are willing to show him.
If you want to make him a true member of your family, let him live indoors with you and continue his training; he is ready to show you the loyalty “Pitties” are known for.
Ask to meet him today and you can spend the rest of your lives just having a blast together each and every day!
