Paisley, a 2-year-old female pit bull, originally came to the shelter as a stray and was adopted by a family from Denmark. They had to return to their homeland and brokenheartedly had to bring her back to the shelter.
The best reference for Paisley is the letter they wrote to the new owner. Here is there note, unedited:
“To: New Owner
She loves to cuddle on the couch watching TV. She’s very calm & lazy at home. She never barks, only weins [sic] a little when she sees other dogs from the patio…
She plays best with female dogs, but can get very exited [sic], so keep her close and only off leash in secure area. She will charge/chase if she sees bunnies or squirrels.
She does good when meeting kids, but make sure to sit down next to her and hold her head so she doesn’t jump up which she will do when very happy and excited.
She knows how to:
- Stay (vente)
- Shake (hi)
- High five
- Hand signals
Very loyal & will usually only listen to 1 person.
After walks she knows she’ll get a little treat 🙂 .”
