Spring classes kick off on the first week of April at the Agoura Hills Recreation Center. This spring there will be a variety of programs, including tot sports classes, karate, tennis, golf, adult fitness and more.
New classes include golf lessons for ages 5 and older at the Lindero Country Club. Five week group lessons are offered on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at various times. There’s also a new Bitty Ballet class, offered Wednesdays from 3:30 – 4 p.m. starting on April 9th for ages 3-5 and there’s Hip Hop for ages 4-6 on Wednesdays from 4:05 – 4:45 p.m. starting April 9th.
Daddy and Me Pee Wee football is being offered for ages 4-6, and football classes will run on Wednesdays from 5:15 – 6:15 p.m., teaching the fundamental football skills: running, catching, passing and throwing.
A new spring soccer skills developmental league is available for children ages 5 – 14 by British professional soccer coaches. The eight week league includes one training session and one small sided game per week. The league runs from March 31st to May 31st at Sumac Park.
On-going five week fencing classes are offered on Wednesday & Fridays from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. starting on April 2nd, and Shotokan Karate is offered for ages 4 – 18 on Tuesday and Thursdays starting on April 1st. Classes are for beginners up to black belts.
Mat Pilates is on-going on Mondays from 5 – 6 p.m. through the fitness program. Other adult fitness classes include Zumba Gold on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m., and Gentle Yoga is offered on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m.
